Co-founder & Coordinator
Algorave Istanbul is a community of
musicians, visual artists, researchers, technology enthusiasts, and people interested in creative coding; it aims to implement and disseminate creative production through live coding.

As co-founder and coordinator of Algorave Istanbul, I helped initiate and sustain a self-organized community of musicians, visual artists, researchers, and technology enthusiasts interested in creative coding and live generative performance. While many members come from leading universities, the platform remains independent from academic institutions and is deeply rooted in Istanbul’s underground scene—particularly in neighborhoods like Kadıköy. We developed and upheld community guidelines against discrimination based on race and gender, which contributed to building an inclusive, vibrant environment that reflects a wide range of identities and perspectives. Over the past five years, we have organized more than 20 events and 20+ workshops, collaborated with over 40 artists, and released five compilation EPs. I also contributed as a musician & artist in several projects, including Nightdive, Uzak (my solo project), Ruunt (a breakcore punk duo), Baramuk x Uzak & Arian, and Y-Negative—a post-jazz band including Kerem Altaylar, Berke Baramuk, Selim Akçubuk, and Aylin Demirhan—with whom we released the album Therapy Next.
